Young Adults

Hey Young Adults!

Thanks for checking out our site! If you are between 18-30ish (or even just a young adult at heart), then you’re in the right spot. And whether you’ve got a strong faith or are just starting to explore what Christianity is all about – all are welcome!

The TUC Young Adults are a group of young people passionate about community, justice and Jesus. We meet regularly to hang out, to grow in friendship and in faith, and to wrestle with some tricky topics.

This site is a great way to stay up to date with everything that’s happening in and around the church community. Regular updates will be posted here regarding weekly events, as well as any big things we’ve got coming up!

What’s happening in SEPTEMBER?

This month we are meeting on MONDAY evenings – we’ll be starting around 7pm, and generally finishing around 9:30-10pm. Stay tuned to hear about what we’ll be doing each week, and where we’ll be!

2 Main Locations:

The ‘Basement’ is our recently-refurbished YA space at the church – it’s got a pool table, every console under the sun, comfy couches, a prayer wall, plus much more!

The ‘Draytons’ is the home of some of our lovely YA members! We meet there for delicious home-cooked dinners and chats – it’s always a great night!

Cranbury is back!

Cranbury is returning for 2022, which is super exciting! It is an annual event for men who want to know God better. Since 1974, men of all ages and walks of life have taken time out together to hear God speak. Each year, we encourage each other to grow in Christ, surrounded by an encouraging and supportive community in an amazing place in the world. Simply put, it’s a great time to get away from Sydney, breathe in the fresh air, have a laugh and cultivate our relationship with Jesus through conversation and time together!

For more information on what it is and how to book, check out the post on our website here!

Trivia Night

We had our huge Trivia Night at the start of July, and it was a huge success! We had around 80 people join us in the worship centre for a night of fun, community and knowledge.

UPDATED TOTAL -> We have now managed to raise $3,106 for new worship music gear, surpassing our goal of $3,000! This is an incredible result that we should all be very proud of! Thank you to everyone for their extremely generous donations.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped out – be that through writing questions, baking treats, organising logistics, helping pack up, and many other things! We did a marvellous job!

Recently a small group of us went on ‘ReUniting #2’ – the second of our peer-run retreats! ReUniting is centred around learning more about ourselves, others, and God, and provides a valuable opportunity to look deeply at all the different relationships in our lives. We spent a weekend together in Summerland Point, and had a lovely time sharing each other’s company!

If you missed out this time around and are interested in coming along and learning what it’s all about – do not fear. ReUniting #3 will be happening in the future (January 2023). More details will be posted here when they become available.
