Young Adults

Hey Young Adults!

Thanks for checking out our site! If you are between 18-30ish (or even just a young adult at heart), then you’re in the right spot. And whether you’ve got a strong faith or are just starting to explore what Christianity is all about – all are welcome!

The TUC Young Adults are a group of young people passionate about community, justice and Jesus. We meet regularly to hang out, to grow in friendship and in faith, and to wrestle with some tricky topics.

This site is a great way to stay up to date with everything that’s happening in and around the church community. Regular updates will be posted here regarding weekly events, as well as any big things we’ve got coming up!

What’s happening in APRIL?

This month we are meeting on MONDAY evenings – we’ll be starting around 7pm, and generally finishing around 9:30-10pm. Stay tuned to hear about what we’ll be doing each week, and where we’ll be!

2 Main Locations:

The ‘Basement’ is our recently-refurbished YA space at the church – it’s got a pool table, every console under the sun, comfy couches, a prayer wall, plus much more!

The ‘Draytons’ is the home of some of our lovely YA members! We meet there for delicious home-cooked dinners and chats – it’s always a great night!

2023 Plan

As we look towards next year, we’ll be trying a new monthly format – while January will be slightly more ad hoc, check out our plan for Feb 2023 below!

Cranbury is back!

We’ve just returned from Cranbury, and what a great weekend it was! We had awesome weather, excellent discussion and top-quality company – it was a marvellous time!

For those who missed out, never fear! Cranbury will be running again at Easter 2023, so put it in your diaries ASAP.

For more information on what Cranbury is, check out the post on our website here!

ReUniting #3

ReUniting 3 is happening! This will be the third of our peer-run retreats centred around learning more about ourselves, others, and God. They’re a great opportunity to look deeply at all the different relationships in our lives. We are hoping to go away together over the June Long Weekend. There will be some costs involved for food, etc. (more details to come).

If you are interested in participating in the retreat, either as a retreatant (if you haven’t been before) or as a leader (only available for those who have been before), then please send an expression of interest to reunitingretreat@turramurrauniting.org.au

The expression of interest can be as simple as you like! It’ll be a ‘first come, first served’ system, so if you’re really keen then send one through ASAP.

Trivia Night

We had our huge Trivia Night at the start of July, and it was a huge success! We had around 80 people join us in the worship centre for a night of fun, community and knowledge.

UPDATED TOTAL -> We have now managed to raise $3,106 for new worship music gear, surpassing our goal of $3,000! This is an incredible result that we should all be very proud of! Thank you to everyone for their extremely generous donations.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped out – be that through writing questions, baking treats, organising logistics, helping pack up, and many other things! We did a marvellous job!
