Worship at Turramurra Uniting Church
We desire to create an openness to God presence through different warm, authentic, alive, creative, relevant, connecting, and life- changing worship experiences. We gather together as the body of Christ with eagerness and expectancy, worshipping God and encountering the risen Jesus through singing, prayer, scripture, preaching and Holy Communion, and being shaped by the spirit to continue to daily live the way of Jesus. Through passionate worship God draws people to Christ, deepens understanding and relationship with Christ and over time transforms lives as disciples grow in the image of Christ.
At TUC we have three different Sunday worship service which cater to different styles - 9am, 10:45am & 6:30pm. We also have a monthly midweek communion service as well as services in the local nursing homes.
9am Sunday Worship
Each Sunday at 9:00am, morning worship is held. It is a relaxed, contemporary worship service with a focus on teaching, music and the inclusion of all people (especially families and children). It is not a place to expect the expected! Creche is available for the under 3's and Young Rocks (Sunday School) is held for age 3 to Year 12 at school.
Sunday Morning worship continues to be a great, creative and blessed time of worship. It has been great to see people want to come along to worship and new people attending because they find our worship inspiring. We are excited about the possibilities opening up in worship and we pray that worship will continue to be alive, fresh and a powerful experience of God.
10:45am Traditional Worship
Our 10:45am worship service is a more traditional service. We sing all the great old hymns (with our wonderful organ) and follow the familiar liturgy. We share together in communion every two weeks and receive some wonderful teaching by our pastor Phil. After the service we join together for a wonderful morning tea and sharing together.
6:30pm Night Church
Night Church is a lively contemporary worship service which is aimed at young people but is enjoyed by people of all ages. Night Church is on each Sunday at 6:30pm. We have a great worship band who helps us connect with God and the bible teaching is always relevant and engaging. One of the key features of Night Church is that we love exploring the questions that people are asking and we do this in a way which is interactive and allows people to share their thoughts, doubts, insights and discoveries in a safe and encouraging space. Night Church also has had a strong emphasis on social justice and exploring what it means to be the 'hands and feet' of Jesus in our community and world. We would love to see you at Night Church
