There are many rooms and external spaces that can be booked for any occasion at Turramurra Uniting Church. Please call the Church office on 02 9144 1853 to enquire about a booking.
The Church
The church is designed to seat 400, with two operable walls able to be opened to provide 700 seats in all. We currently have 109 comfortable four-seat pews. As well as regular services, weddings, funerals and other special services, the church is regularly used for secular events and has proved particularly suitable for classical concerts.
The Chapel
The Chapel is the original Turramurra Methodist Church and is the oldest church building still used for worship in Turramurra. It is used for regular communion services, prayer meetings and meetings. It is also in demand for weddings owing to its intimate and traditional atmosphere. It contains fourteen 6-seat pews and has room for additional seating.
The Foyer
The Foyer has a vaulted ceiling and is the main entrance to the church. It can be used as a breakout area for concerts or a gallery area for exhibitions and displays.
The Colonnade and Courtyard
The Colonnade and Courtyard provide an open air fellowship space, particularly popular after weddings. The colonnade provides a sheltered route to the church, appreciated by brides in wet weather.
The Fellowship Hall
The Fellowship Hall is a multi-purpose hall used for larger meetings, youth activities, dinners and many other functions.
The Garden Room
The Garden Room may be used for meetings, standup functions or presentations and is equipped with a self-contained kitchenette along one wall for serving light refreshments.
The Colonnade Room
The Colonnade Room is a well lit "colonnade style" room which may used for meetings and presentations. The room is long and seats around 50 people.
The partitions may opened similar to The Skylight Room to extend The Church seating for large events.
The Skylight Room
The Skylight Room is an internal meeting room lit by a skylight which may used for meetings and presentations. The room is long and seats around 50 people. The partitions may be opened similar to The Colonnade Room to extend church seating for large events.
The Deck
The Deck extends off The Lounge and can be used in conjunction with the lounge and Kitchen as a breakout area for various types of dining functions.
The Lounge
The lounge has comfortable armchairs and round cafe-style tables and is primarily for informal dining and fellowship. It should be remembered that it is also a major thoroughfare and should only be booked at the higher exclusive use rate if you wish to have privacy.
The Kitchen
The recently refurbished kitchen opens on to the lounge through a servery and is equipped with commercial grade oven, cooktop and dishwasher. The kitchen can be hired in conjunction with he Lounge and Deck for a variety of dining functions.
