The Brilliance are visiting Australia and are leading both a worship workshop and live worship experience at EVOLVE on Sunday 9th August. We are incredibly excited to host US worship group The Brilliance for a evening of music, conversation and worship.
The Brilliance are David Gungor and John Arndt—two gifted musicians and songwriters known for creating beautiful, thoughtful music that blends contemporary worship with classical, folk and indie-pop influences. Their songs explore faith with honesty and depth, inviting us towards hope, compassion, justice and a greater love for God and one another. Even without knowing their name, you may already know some of their music. Songs such as Breathe and All Is Not Lost have found their way into worshipping communities around the world—and we have sung a number of their songs in our own church worship.
The Brilliance will lead a worship workshop during the afternoon (4-5:30pm), before sharing dinner at 6pm with the EVOLVE community. Then from 6:30–8:00pm they will lead us in an evening of worship, music and sharing.
The workshop will be a $15 charge and will be limited to 50 people. We would appreciated a donation for dinner (suggested $10) and the worship experience will be free of charge.
Whether you already love their music or have never heard of them before, this promises to be a beautiful and memorable evening—and everyone is welcome!

What does it mean to worship and write music in an evolving church?
David Gungor and John Arndt (from the worship band “The Brilliance” will be drawing upon their broad experience to lead a hands-on and collaborative workshop. They will help us explore song writing, arrangement, leading worship, working with a team and more.

LIVE worship experience
The Brilliance are leading a live worship experience on Sunday 9 August at EVOLVE. David Gungor and John Arndt will share their music and stories as together we explore faith, hope, compassion, justice and a greater love for God and one another.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a community dinner at 6pm followed by the worship experience at 6:30-8pm.
