God’s Promise to Abraham

From this week, we are journeying again with Narrative Lectionary. We will be looking at many different stories from the Old Testament until the end of November for about 13 weeks. For 8 weeks until the end of October, we will explore OT stories with a theme of ‘promise’. This Sunday, we learn from Gen 15, God’s promise to Abraham. Of all the billions of people God created, and of all those whom God has called to serve him in some special way, God referred to Abram – and him alone as ‘my friend”. As our friend, God wants to give us blessings and wants us to trust him. Our pastor, Kevin will help us to see the importances of God’s promises to Abraham as we start a new Narrative Lectionary series.
