A Christmas Shrektacular – Featuring a musical by the Countdown to Christmas kids and leaders and the TUC Young Adults.
The main feature of our Christmas Eve worship will be a creative and humorous play called “The Spirit of Christmas” performed by many of our kids and young people who have attended the “Countdown to Christmas” program assisted by our young adults. In a town far far away, two unlikely friends are sent on a quest to find a king, and get back something they lost. Holding out for a hero, their journey leads them to meet interesting characters, who help them find a new reason for their journey, and discover why Christmas is the Season for Believin’. Expect incredible singing, dancing and a whole lot of FUN! With inspiration from the music & characters of Shrek, and such an All Star cast, you’ll be Accidentally in Love with this show! We will be singing together some Christmas Carols, be engaged with some other creative elements, have a great short talk by Phil and we will be finishing our time with a special rendition of “Silent Night”.
