In Spring 2023 we are back in our Narrative Lectionary journey and spending the next 10 weeks in the Old Testament. The readings jump around from Genesis through to the minor prophets and cover characteristics of what it means to be part of the family of God and the faithfulness of God.

10 Sept – Created in God’s Image

Phil will be introducing the Narrative Lectionary Old Testament block and covering the first passage from Genesis 2. The key focus will be that we are created to belong … God right from the beginning is passionate about us being in relationship with each other and with God.
17 Sept – Obedience

Liesl has asked to preach on a different Old Testament Passage than the one listed in the Narrative Lectionary (she has been studying / preaching on Exodus as part of her studies). She will be looking at how obedience or a softening of heart leads to life.
In terms of Kids Church / Kids Talk, we can continue to look at Abraham (which is the narrative lectionary) or we can look at Moses and the Exodus.
