Second part of the Sermon on the Mount covering the Lord’s Prayer, treasures in heaven and not to worry. I will be focusing on the idea the first part of the Sermon on the Mount was about how we follow Jesus through out actions “let your light shine before all people” and yet in this part of the sermon of the Mount Jesus encourages us to hide our piety and that our righteous acts should only be to an audience of one – God. Why the shift and how do we apply this to our own life – especially when it comes to prayer and worry?

12 Feb – Vision Sunday 2023

There are two parts of the Vision Sunday focus – one would be to remind people of our renewed Vision that we put together in the second half of last year and using the bible reading (and the larger picture of Matthew’s discourses) show how God is calling us to grow in our faith and discipleship and as a church to invest in growing young; small groups; pastoral care/supporting each other; and being a good neighbour. Then Kevin and Phil will expand of some of the practicalities of what this will mean at TUC as we move through 2023.
