What is Evolve?
Evolve is a community of people learning that an evolving faith can stand up in an uncertain world. Shaped by love, inclusion, discipleship and creativity, we gather in Turramurra to connect with God and each other. Each week we connect over meals, hear a gospel message, create space for teaching/discussion and worship God together.
Our vision is to create a space that helps people to better know God and live out Jesus’ love through our values of inclusion, discipleship and creativity.
Who is Evolve for?
Evolve is open to all; it is for people of any age who want to be a part of a community that is willing to explore different expressions of worship and connect more deeply with God and each other.
What can I expect?
Each gathering will start with dinner at 6pm and have elements of a gospel message, music and teaching. At Evolve, there are four distinct types of nights in our schedule to help people to express and experience worship in different ways. These include:
GATHER – A more contemporary style of church with worship songs and a sermon
DIVE – A night more focused on scripture which will often take the form of a bible study (with a few songs)
GLOW – Primary focus of musical worship and communion
ENGAGE – Primarily focused on panel discussions, guest speakers and social justice topics
Each night of the monthly rotation aims to be connected by a connective theme, series or idea.
When is it?
Dinner starts at 6pm on Sundays with the official proceedings for the nights beginning at around 6:45pm and ending around 8pm in the Turramurra Uniting Church Lounge.
