Special Combined Worship Service –
All three TUC worshiping congregations together at 10am.
Preacher: Rev Phil Swain
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:6-17
Sunday 17th June will be a significant day in the life of our church. On that day we are combining all three worship services together into one joyful and lively worship gathering at 10am. This service will include singing, prayers, kids talk and participation – as well as the commissioning of our Church Council leadership team and the welcoming of new members. Phil will be preaching on 2 Corinthians 5 and how God is doing a new thing within our church.
After our worship service we will continue with a “new” style of congregational meeting – a gathering where the whole church will be informed and updated about what God is doing in and through our church, as well how we are going to bring our Vision to life. We will be affirming how we resource our mission (through the church budget) and together celebrate the new things that are happening. The documentation for the meeting can be downloaded here.
This will culminate with a lunch together at 12:15pm where we can be together as a large family.
A few things that you need to note now…
- If you feel that you have joined our church in the last 12 months, we would to specially welcome and pray for you all. There is no pressure to participate – but if you would like to be a part of this welcome to new members, please mention it to Phil.
- The congregational meeting will have an opportunity for anyone to bring an update or concern to the whole congregation. If you would like to do this, it would be helpful to mention it beforehand to Phil or Heather Koroknay (Church Council Secretary)
- The lunch will be soup, casseroles, rice, bread and drinks. If you are able to help by making any of the above or bringing bread or drinks – please mention it to Phil or Heather or Bec Cutting.
We would love to see the whole congregation gathered together so please come along
