25th Anniversary of the opening of the
Turramurra Uniting Church Complex
Celebration and Lunch.
Sunday 10th March, 2019
10am Combined Worship Service and Celebration
12noon Lunch Together
Over 25 years ago, St Margaret’s Presbyterian Church and Trinity Methodist Church started to re imagine a new way of doing church together. A Vision emerged of a new church complex ready to meet the needs of a growing church and changing community. On Sunday 13th March, 1994 the Turramurra Uniting Church Complex was opened – marking a new era in ministry and mission at Turramurra.
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of this occasion and as a church we believe it is important to remember and honour our past as we move forward into our future. So on Sunday 10th March, 2019, we are holding a special combined worship service at 10am to celebrate this milestone, to share some stories of our past and together begin to re imagine what the next 25 years of ministry and mission here at Turramurra might be like.
We are looking for your help – especially in locating some old photos of the churches or church life from any period, but particularly the last 25 years. We would be most thankful if you could scan the photos and send to the church office! Also if you know anyone who has been part of our church community over the past 25 years and think that they would like a personal invitation to our 25th Anniversary service, please pass their name and contact details (either address or email) to the church office and we will send them an invite.
“Read up on what happened before you were born; dig into the past, understand your roots. Ask your parents what it was like before you were born; ask the old-ones, they’ll tell you a thing or two.”
