In the lead up to Christmas, we have a number of other worship services and experiences to help us prepare and anticipate Christmas, including:

We have done some adapting to make our kids’ focused Christmas Service COVID friendly. We will break into 5 smaller groups and rotate around five Christmas experiences focusing on music, the Christmas story, helping others, craft, and meeting & patting the Kindifarm animals (supervised by the Kindifarm staff). Afterwards there will a chance to grab a Christmas Sausage Sandwich and drink. Everyone is welcome!

“Blue Christmas” is a special Christmas worship service where we can, with others, acknowledge the feelings we have at Christmas time. For many who have lost a loved one, or are facing significant hurt or crisis, Christmas can be a moment of pain. For others it is a lonely time of year. This is not a joyous season for everyone. In this service acknowledge our sadness. We will reflect on our pain through scripture. We will have space to remember our loved ones. And together we will pray for hope and comfort.

Our 10:45am pre-recorded worship will be the traditional Carols and Lessons worship service – a wonderful time of singing the carols and reflecting on the Christmas Biblical story. This service will be pre-recorded and available on Thursday 10th December on our YouTube channel. Just search Turramurra Uniting Church in YouTube.

At 6:30pm in our evening service on Sunday 13th December we will be holding our annual Community Carols service but instead of singing the carols out loud we will be hearing a number of well known musicians and bands give their take on different carols. You can enjoy this both online and in-person.
