In the lead up to Christmas, we have a number of other worship services and experiences to help us prepare and anticipate Christmas, including:

We are starting our Christmas journey with our huge Children’s Christmas Experience! With families and kids from the Turratots childcare centre and our own playgroup, we will be gathering on Sunday 27th November to learn about Christmas. After some carols and a story, we have planned three great experiences (a kids petting zoo; a nativity photobooth with real live baby Jesus; and a Christmas Craft) for kids and adults to enjoy. This is a great service to invite your family and friends to. Everyone is welcome and afterwards we will have a sausage sizzle!

One of the favourite services of the year. Sunday Sunday 11th December, our 10:45am congregation will be hosting the traditional Carols and Lessons worship service – a wonderful time of singing the carols and reflecting on the Christmas Biblical story. A wonderful way to prepare for the Holy Season and engage in the Christmas Spirit.

“Blue Christmas” is a special Christmas worship service where we can, with others, acknowledge the feelings we have at Christmas time. For many who have lost a loved one, or are facing significant hurt or crisis, Christmas can be a moment of pain. For others it is a lonely time of year. This is not a joyous season for everyone. In this service acknowledge our sadness. We will reflect on our pain through scripture. We will have space to remember our loved ones. And together we will pray for hope and comfort. The Blue Christmas Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday 15th December at 7pm.
