BUGZ is a group for children in preschool and stage 1 (Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2 at school). BUGZ runs on a Friday afternoon at Turramurra Uniting Church Hall and Lounge.

BUGZ stands for Building Up God’s Zone and that sums up what we are about. We aim to build up kids in their self worth and interaction with other kids. BUGZ is also a “God’s Zone”. Using games, stories, craft, songs, videos and more we will learn about God.

BUGZ will be running on a Friday afternoon from 3.30pm – 5pm. We are having a trial BUGZ period on the three Friday’s at the end of Term 1 (Friday 29th March, 5th & 12th April) and then we will be running every Friday in Term 2.

The cost of BUGZ is $5 a week for afternoon tea and craft materials

Weekly Program:

  • 3:15-3:30pm     Games & simple activities
while kids arrive from surrounding schools
  • 3:30-4:55pm     Afternoon Tea, Stories, Craft, Games etc.
  • 5pm                  Parents pick up kids.

You can stay with your kids or drop them off. We have a great team of trained leaders who have their working with Children Check and Safe Church Training.

BUGZ … What’s in the Easter Box?

The theme for this term is looking at the Easter story in a simple and fun way.  Each week we will have the “Easter Box” where we will pull out a symbol of Easter and learn a little more of the story.  As the children are young, we will not focus on the harsher parts of the Easter story but rather focus on the Good News that the story brings.
